Past Life Regression

One particularly unusual application of hypnosis is past life regression. Past life regression is, simply put, finding out who you were in your previous life or lives. Depending on one's view of the cosmos and reincarnation, this is either a fascinating an powerful way of learning about oneself, or simply a load of hooey. However, the results, no matter one's opinion, can be pretty interesting.

Past life regression works under the theory that the immortal soul is transferred through the ages from one living being to the next. It could have been Cleopatra, it could have been a small squirrel. Whatever the previous being, one cannot consciously know about these past lives, because the memory of these former existences is erased. However, the information is still stored inside the soul and can be retrieved. Hypnosis, of course, is the preferred method.
